En uno de sus valles recorrido por el río Iregua, está el Camero Nuevo, tierra de bosques, pastizales, cumbres y pequeños valles, donde se sitúan 13 pueblos con historia, tradiciones y leyendas, que siglos atrás se agruparon bajo la denominación de Hermandad de las 13 Villas.

8 · The transept and the chapel
On the other side of the river, a small chapel known in ancient times as Ermita del Humilladero and today as Ermita de San Antón, guards a carretil landmark. It is a chapel of the XVI century and was built by D. Juan Morales, chaplain of King Felipe II, natural and benefactor to Villanueva.
In the XVI century, a transept was built in this place marking the crossing of the roads that pass through the place. Later, it was closed to protect the cruise that, thanks to this action, has been preserved in perfect conditions. The old route of the capital of Spain to the North passed through this site, remembered by that monument.
