The trees included in the Catalogue of Singular Trees of La Rioja are the witnesses of our past.
In Pinillos, we can enjoy a magnificent example of a quejigo (gall oak), the Quejigo de Pinillos or Alejandro, 16 m high, 1´8 m in diameter and an estimated age of more than 500 years. The first section is coincident with the road to Peñas Malas and, when crossing a bridge, both routes diverge. Overcoming the ravine of the Tilo (lime tree) we climb up the slope until we reach to the Meadow Boyal de Pinillos, one of the best preserved meadows in all of La Rioja.
