Within the jurisdiction of Nestares, we find the caves-chasms of the Maño and the Maestro, where there was settlement at the end of the Neolithic and where interesting archaeological remains of the time have been found.
Being both reserved for experienced speleologists, the one of the Maestro is considered the deepest in all of La Rioja, having a maximum depth of 134 m.
The lake that supplies water to Nestares and Torrecilla is located in this chasm.
