One kilometre away from the urban centre of Torrecilla and under the cliffs of Peñaseto, is the Peñaclara spring, formerly known as Balneario de Riva los Baños. In 1861 it was declared of Public Utility by the characteristics of its waters, although it is known that in the time of the Romans they were already used for consumption and bathing.
In 1974, the Peñaclara bottling plant was built, being the only packing plant in La Rioja and an important source of profit for the local economy.
