An impressive pelota court, used in the summer days by young vacationers, stands out in this small population village.
The pelota court in Cameros has been a very relevant social space. The wall of the church or any other specific construction has welcomed the players in pairs or groups, being the only expression of leisure, once the pastoral games were lost. Sites such as the chapel of the Virgen de los Nogales de Villanueva or the pelota court in Pradillo have been meeting places for amateurs in the past.
In spite of the great enthusiasm for the pelota game in the region, there has not been any famous “pelotari” (pelota player) as in other places of La Rioja.
