Crossing the Puente de Hierro (Iron Bridge), we find the only two accessible caves in La Rioja, although there are ten caves in the municipality, all of great speleological interest. Some of these cavities were explored by the French speleologist Lartet, who also investigated other caves in Cameros around 1866.
Currently, two caves a ready for the visit: The Cueva de la Paz, 236 m length of well-conditioned and illuminated itinerary that goes through beautiful stalactite formations; and the Cueva de la Viña, shorter but with very interesting geological formations.
