1 · The Casino

The Tertulia Ortigosana (Ortigosana gathering), association of different residents, commanded by the illustrious son of the village, Mr Gabriel de la Riva, creates the Casino in 1849, being one of the oldest in the country.
Its purpose is expressed in its Statutes: The purpose of the Tertulia Ortigosana Association is to provide its members with entertainment and recreation with the reading of good moral newspapers and books, non-prohibited games and other distractions that are compatible with the good name and nature of the society.
