Three Neolithic tombs have been found in the district, and refer us to an age close to 5,000 years before Christ and successive times, mainly the Chalcolithic, with bell-shaped influence. They are the Portillo de los Ladrones and those of Collado Palomero I and II, already located on the summit of the mountain range, with views of the Old Cameros.
All this area near the top of Cerroyera has several dolmens where very interesting goods have been found. Among them, the first metallurgical sample of the Ebro Valley. They reflect that the mound formations of the Sierra de Cameros have been quite many, to the point of being considered as a megalithic group of its own.
