Nieva de Cameros

2 · The chapel of La Soledad

From the Schools, a promenade marked by chestnut trees is opened along a wall with a terraced seat and protected by a wrought iron fence. This promenade was built with the support of the Nieva Society and its sons (based in Argentina), who financed this project in 1921.
From this place, there is an impressive view over the valley, especially over the whole town, and we can observe the small family vegetable gardens that are still preserved.
The chapel has an especial participation in the Holy Week, since some of the processional carvings are kept in it.
